About Us

Ben Miller, the Owner and Operator of Keweenaw Kabin Keeper LLC started the business in 2013.  Ben’s love for the outdoors and snow brought him to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and the Keweenaw. At the age of 15, Ben started working in property maintenance and has extensive experience maintaining and renovating properties.  Also, at the early age of 15, Ben obtained the Highest rank in Boy Scouts the Eagle Scout.  This rank is only achieved through hard work, loyalty, trustworthiness, and respect.  Ben portrays these qualities and provides a positive work ethic and persistence to accomplish any task.  In 2011, Ben graduated from Lawrence Technological University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Technology.  In the past, Ben used his degree to become successful at providing engineering services at a global medical device corporation.  However,  office life was not intended for Ben’s future.  Keweenaw Kabin Keeper LLC is formed out of Ben’s love for property maintenance, the outdoors, and snow.

Ben currently lives in Lake Linden with his wife Elizabeth, son Brecken, 2 Siberian Huskies Mya and Autumn, and a Norwegian Elkhound Timber.  He is a First Responder and Firefighter 2 on the Bootjack Fire and Rescue Department.  Ben enjoys any outdoor activity in the Northwoods including: fishing, hunting, hiking, dirt bike/ four wheeler trail riding, snowshoeing, snowboarding, and especially snowmobiling.
